We had it custom made at this woodshop near our condo, and we designed the bottom drawer to be bigger than the first three because it will take the place of the hamper for our dirty clothes.
I'm actually quite disappointed with how the dresser turned out (i.e. the drawers are pushed too far back in), moreover, the woodshop couldn't paint it and couldn't even recommend a painter, so G had to paint it and attach the handles himself.
But at this point, I'm just happy to have a dresser. However, I'm never going back to that woodshop and will not be recommending it.
Anyway, here's how the space looked before we installed the dresser.
We used wire cubes (which G hated) to hold clothes and had a hamper for our laundry.
Here's how it looks now:
No more wire cubes and the hamper is ready to be stored in my parents' bodega. There's also more than enough space now for a chair to sit on or for the exercise bike, making it easy to log-in a few minutes everyday while watching TV.
So with the dresser, open closet and plastic bins under our bed, our clothing storage system is now complete.
Hooray for more floor space and storage space!

hi jill, hope you don't mind me asking how much the drawer cost you, just so i'd know if the carpenter is charging us too much.
I don't mind at all :)
We paid 6k for the dresser and it's supposed to be made of real wood, as opposed to say plywood (swear, that's what the guy said). Anyway, the price only include the unpainted dresser and we had to provide the hardware and my husband painted it himself.
Thanks Jill. :)
