There's just something so grown-up about paying one's real estate tax. And since G's going back to the city hall to pay the 2012 real estate tax (he only paid the back taxes a few days ago), that makes us doubly grown-up.

When I still lived with my parents, I thought I was all that wielding my credit card and going to work as a lawyer. But apparently you don't really feel grown-up until you're faced with the bill for a new set of tires, deposit for a parking space, life insurance etc. And with all these endless bills to pay, I'm just about ready to say "Screw this shit!" and crawl back to my parents' house where Neneng gladly irons my clothes :p

Seriously though, I wouldn't trade our maison pour deux for all the newly pressed shirts in the world. And the point to this post is I have to check with my parents, particularly my mom, if they kept up with real estate tax payments. I have a feeling that the answer will be in the negative...
