The thing with our little shoebox of a home is that curtains are necessary because the sun invites itself in at all times and doing without curtains means living in a fishbowl for all the passersby and peeping toms to gawk at.

The first curtain I hung in G's work station was a white tablecloth that I modified to make room for the curtain rod. Being white, the glare was all sorts of amazing and he would need shades just to sit at his desk in the morning. Obviously this had to change.

As previously mentioned, we bought 3 panels of curtains at Mafinco last weekend and I was able to work on one last Monday. The panel was floor length and slightly sheer (!!) so I folded and sewed it into halfsies like so.

The width is pwede na (just have to tug it some more on the right to fully cover the window) and G likes how it's just sheer enough to still allow light in without the blinding effect of the white one. But apparently halfsies make it too short so I have to let it down some more, maybe three-fourthsies?

The other two panels will go in our room to replace these mismatched curtains.

Once again, I thank my alma mater for my rudimentary sewing skills. I swear the three best things I learned in Zobel are: (1) basic sewing; (2) touch typing; and (3) the SI jingle (to convert the english to metric system)

Hail, hail, alma mater! Hail to De La Salle!
