And we're off to Biliran tomorrow for the family reunion. Then it's on to Boracay for Sieg, Melo and me.

Speaking of Sieg, here's my favorite picture of us so far:

This was taken in Zensai Spa for his second massage in 2 days.

Today he had another massage, his third since he got here 3 days ago.

All those massages can't be good. Is that a third arm I see?!

I'm really loving our ongoing contest in Kikay Exchange!

I was honestly a little apprehensive if anyone will even join the contest, seeing that it wasn't the giveaway contest we usually have and actually involved stringing sentences together. But all the entries so far have been well-thought of and coherent!

What can I say, I love my KE readers :)

Why is it that you really have to name drop or throw your weight around just to get anything done?

I deposited the full amount for our Boracay hotel last Friday at Red Coconut Beach Hotel's BDO bank account.

I then informed my sales agent contact about the deposit made and he said that he will send me the scanned OR and voucher by Monday.

Monday came and went and still no OR and voucher.

I sent another SMS to my sales agent contact on Tuesday and he said that he was sick and will have the OR and voucher ready the following day.

He then called on Wednesday saying that he didn't know how to work the scanner and that if I could wait until the tech guy arrives to do the scanning.

I had enough of the incompetence, and so today I send him an SMS saying: Please send the OR and voucher to Atty. Jill Sabitsana (insert office address here).

About ten minutes later (as opposed to the hours when he would usually answer), he responds by saying that he'll send the OR and voucher by email in 20 minutes. This time, he calls me Atty. Jill na.

And true enough, a few minutes later, I receive the OR and voucher in my email with a follow up SMS informing me of the email sent.

I guess he finally learned how to work the scanner after all huh?

Next time this happens, I'll ask them to send the voucher and OR to: Grand Empress of the Universe Jill.

That should keep them on their toes.
I say we adopt Sen. Peter Cayetano's shame campaign idea regarding Hayden Kho and start wagging our fingers at him when we see him in public.

Shame on you!!!

I really don't see why Katrina Halili's career has to suffer over this sex video brouhaha, if at all, it should fully cement her sexpot image right?

But not to be flippant about it, because sexpot or not, she was really violated when those videos were released. I saw the video and Hayden Kho intentionally positioned her so that she'd always be in view of the camera! That guy is really sick, I can't believe Vicki Belo is still with him when she's this really nice and generous person. Mga babae talaga pag na-in love :(

I hope it's not true though that Vicki Belo is staying with Hayden Kho because he might also release their own sex video. That would make him more despicable that he already is (if that's even possible).

Admittedly, I laughed over the first two videos because it was really silly and akin to getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar (hala kayo! bad kayo!), but the third one was something else. It was obviously filmed without Katrina Halili's permission and watching it made me feel like I contributed to her violation as well, and for that I felt like scum (but obviously not as scum-like as Hayden Kho).

Again, I don't see why this should derail Katrina Halili's career. A mistake like falling in love with a sicko like Hayden Kho should never be taken against her. If at all, it should be Hayden Kho who should be burned at the stake.

Shame on you Hayden Kho! May your dick shrivel and fall off.

Sealing the deal 31 years ago.

Happy wedding anniversary Mama and Tatay!!!

Notes from the past few days:

I attended the Watsons event in MOA in the morning.

It was really humid that day so the summer theme was a success:p

But seriously, ang galing ng Ogilvy. Those big bucks are really worth it.

Then later in the evening, G and I were off to Glorietta 5 for the Ensembles event.

It was not as organized as the Watsons event, no press kit upon registration and the event was delayed for 2 hours, although G says that this is normal for fashion shows. I wonder if it's also normal not to provide seats? :(

But I received an email last night asking where they can send the press kit, so minus 20 ganda points na lang from the original 100.

Then yesterday was Guia Tamara's first birthday party. One year old na ang anak ni Glenn!

And today I rest, because tomorrow is another non-working day... hehehehe.
Ewan ko lang ha, but I think they're too big.

I think lang ha!

The thing with shades is you have to go big and bongga, otherwise, you don't mean it.

Anyhoo, I'm loving my new shades because my lack of a nose bridge is immaterial because my cheeks support them.

I knew these chipmunk cheeks were good for something!

In other non-annoying news, Tatay was on PerezHilton and Eonline!

I really couldn't care less about the Philippine Star or the Philippine Daily Inquirer but being on Perez Hilton is something else! Of course, my dad's picture wasn't there and the news bit about him was lifted lock, stock and barrel from another news article, but this is still Hollywood's most hated site! The Queen of Media! My number 2 gossip site (number 1 will forever be The Superfish)!

Last Friday, Tatay made me buy that day's Philippine Star because he was on page 18. And true enough, his name was mentioned twice in the article about the two Davids.

When I got home, I gave him the newspaper and he was like: Ok lang, nabasa ko na yan. So I was like: Nge. So bakit mo pa ako pinabili? He responded: Para may kopya din kayo.

Naks naman Tats!

My dad met the two Davids (Cook and Archuleta) last night!

Apparently, Archuleta had a sore throat when he entered the country but he didn't go through the usual procedures, as he was immediately whisked away because of the pandemonium in NAIA when he arrived.

So my dad had to go to their hotel to do the necessary check-up.

Fellow fans, breathe easy. The Poster Boy for Communicable Diseases did not quarantine our idols because they only had sore throats (or at least Archuleta did) and no flu-like symptoms.

When asked what they were like, my dad was like: Yung Archuleta, smile lang ng smile (then he proceeds to do a Stevie Wonder like smile with matching head bob from side to side) tapos yung Cook, halos natutulog na sa lamesa (then he puts his head on his hand). Pero mga bayot sila no?

For my dad, everyone's gay. Same situation when F4 entered the country during the height of SARS (or some other communicable disease I can't remember now). My dad was like: Bakit sikat yung mga yon? Bayot na payat.

Labo mo tay:p

I had a little emergency last night since I had a quota and a post to churn out and the internet was non-existent.

Thank goodness Perk Cafe's free wifi is reliable, and after a token order of coffee and corned beef bun, I was pounding away on Dagny.

This morning, I called up the PLDT help desk and received exceptional tech help so kudos to the tech guy :)

Unfortunately, the problem still wasn't solved and he ended up writing a report. After I tinkered around with the wires (I removed the blue wire from the router and reattached it), the internet finally kicked in. Yay!

There's a two-fold lesson to all this: (1) Always have a back-up internet place when working at home and (2) Don't be afraid to pull out wires, but just be sure you know where they're supposed to go to though.

****

After some banking chores, I stopped by the office today to drop off my Philhealth requirements.

The bosses were not around so I ended up hanging out with the office peeps. Kaka-miss sila Ate Norma :(

Working at home is really no different from working in an office.

You still have to follow a schedule, you still have to set goals and still need to take regular breaks.

If ever, working at home is more challenging than being in a regular office setting because the temptation to just switch on the tv and watch the Lifestyle Channel the whole day is sometimes too real to ignore (moreso when you're already in your pajamas...).

Anyway, it's my first day with working at home and I'm adamant on sticking with my schedule.

Let's see how this pans out :)

Cough's 90% gone.

Now on to enjoying my unemployment :)

Friday, May 08, 2009

This week has proven why it's important to be in tip-top shape, or to at least not abuse your body to the point that it gives up on you.

I was hospitalized early Tuesday morning because my flu and cough weren't abating in spite of (or because of?) my mom's alternative remedies (good old VCO!)

When I woke up with a very real pain in my ribs whenever I coughed, I knew it was time to stop playing around and go to the real doctors, moreso when my mom gave me asthma medicine when I asked for mucolytic. Who knew that such a small tablet could cause massive palpitations?!

Anyway, I'm on an Antitussive now (cough suppressant) and I'm hoping that my cough will finally stop because it's the massively itchy, no phlegm type (aka dry cough).

That's one week taken away from my days of unemployment!

Kids, that's why it's important to sleep early so your immunities don't go haywire.

And VCO is not a cure all. Even if your mother declares otherwise.

My dad's on tv again and that's not a good thing, because the last time he was a media staple was during the SARS scare.

Oh yes, the moment you see my dad's mug on tv or hear his voice on the radio or read his name in print (you get the drift...) means that there's some scary virus out there threatening mankind.

Doc Edsa the poster boy of communicable diseases:p
