"New in Town" was such a disappointment!

I looked forward to it because of Harry Connick, Jr. and he was so scruffy looking the whole time, except for the last scene where his beard was shaved off (bakit ngayon lang?!).

All of that snow also reminded me of why I'm never going back to the US during the winter without a puffer coat and a shitload of warmers.

One good thing about the movie though was Renee Zelwegger's outfits, career woman dressing at its finest.

But aside from the clothing eyecandy every now and then, it was such a snooze fest. No wonder there were less than ten of us in the theater.

Tsk. We should have watched "Aliens vs. Monsters" na lang. Or is that "Monsters vs. Aliens"? Basta, yun na yun.

Since everyone around me has taken a shine to running, I too (ta-da!!!) will join the bandwagon.

I found this program which seems very doable and is specifically designed for couch potatoes like me.

The program intends to build up endurance through bite-sized workouts which will hopefully lead to me joining a 5k run in the near future.

Let's do this, now na!

****

No connection to running, but I like this picture Raz took during Kristel's wedding. He was seated about 3 tables away so I had no idea he took this shot. I label this as my not paying attention look, because the program was happening to the left of our table but I was scoping out the rest of the ballroom (probably checking to see if DOP was still there:p)

Granted that these past few weeks have been utterly horrible (Hello, I'm a lowly overworked and underpaid associate.), I still find myself marveling at all the blessings I've received.

First, in two weeks time, I'll be out of work, which is technically not a blessing, but if you work where I work, then you'll know it is:p

Second, I may be out of work but I won't be bumming around. I'll still have a full plate to gnosh on.

Third, the opportunities are endless!

Fourth, from initially hearing that only one Sabitsana made it into the PAL flying school, I was ecstatic to find out today that BOTH Drago and Mike made it! Classmates na itich.

So yeah, barring morning hearings in Malolos, Bulacan and afternoon hearings in Imus, Cavite in the same day, I still wouldn't trade my life for anything.

A shot from Kristel's bridal shower at the Niagara Falls Suite at Victoria's Court in Pasig.

Apparently, this venue has a meaning to the happy couple. Niagara Falls ha, not the motel room:p

The wedding will be this evening at St. James then reception will follow at Fernbrook.

Congrats to Kristel and Emir!

My life in general:

Morning- hearing

Afternoon- hearing and/or work on pleadings

Evening- do KE and racket.

Sucks to be me.

Sigh.

Three more weeks! The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter.

Konting tiis na lang.

I'm tired.

Had a nice Saturday just hanging out at the mall with G.

The only downer today was finding out that Edmar, my favorite waiter in Mexicali, wasn't regularized and will have his last day this coming 15th.

He was the same guy who let me leave the restaurant without paying because I left my wallet in my car. He trusted that I would immediately come back because I was a regular daw (I think that was only my 3rd time in Mexicali, but it was only their first month... :p).

Here's hoping that he immediately finds another job and that he'll be regularized there. Damn management.

Today was a refreshing respite from the past two weeks of insanity. I'm so counting the days until I'm out of there. Yay!

I turned in my 30 day notice last night by leaving it on the managing partner's desk with copies furnished to the two other partners.

I know the general consensus was to hand it over personally (hello Toni and Joan!), but apparently leaving the resignation letter on the partner's desk has always been the norm in our office, and who am I to break tradition right?:p

Anyway, I'll be out of the firm just in time for Holy Week. Yay!

I mean "Yay!" for getting out of that job, and not for Holy Week. Because Holy Week is all about prayer and reflection.

Ommmm....
