Day Sixteen

I was sitting on a stool having a glass of orange juice when Clarissa went out of her parents' room. She immediately hugged me and brought out her different books. She read them out loud and only had trouble with words like "bouquet" and "immediately". That girl's really smart, and sweet too. Such a cutie.

The weather here in Dallas is so nice! It's like Tagaytay, so it's still sweater weather but no need for thermals, scarves and gloves. Absolutely heavenly :)

I went around Ate Leila's neighborhood and the houses were just so big! All the houses were made of bricks and looked stately and imposing. There was even a golf course and country club within the vicinity.

Although it was lovely, it looked quite lonely because there was practically no one out in the street (no gossiping neighbors or kids playing). During my 15 minute walk, I must have seen only 3 people walking their dogs, and a few cars driving by. Ate Leila said that most of their neighbors are retirees so Clarissa doesn't have a lot of playmates. It's a good thing there's Chuck to keep everyone entertained.

Day Seventeen

Ate Leila and I watched "He's Just Not Into You" and now I have a crush on Justin Long:p

In a nutshell, the movie said guys are easy to read, if they like you, you'll know it. There are no signs to be read or interpreted, that's the rule. BUT never stop looking and searching for the man who will make you his exception. However, when he doesn't call, it's time to move on and shove all the drama aside.

Naks naman.

Aside from true love and all that schtick, I'm so glad I don't have to go through the whole dating rigmarole ever again.

We then walked around the mall and ate at Cheesecake Factory. Good stuff right there.

Afterwards, we picked up Clarissa at her school. She goes to a chinese school and with all the chinese kids around, I missed Mick and Maddie:(

It was funny how Clarissa's chinese language teacher was explaining to Ate Leila how the latter could help Clarissa homework-wise. The teacher was like: "She already knows these characters, so just test her on the remaining characters". Right. I'm sure Ate Leila will be able to help Clarissa with that:p

We're supposed to go to a rubber shoes outlet tomorrow, that ought to be fun:)
