Alright, back from Macau and on my way to meet G at the Nike Park in Greenbelt to abuse his GC :)

Then we're off to the Fort to watch the Eheads!

Thanks to Jomi for the last minute tickets :)

More Macau pictures here.

Ola from Macau!

The only thing Portuguese let about Macau are the street names and some of the structures. Otherwise, it's definitely very chinese.

We went to Macau Central today and saw all the tourist-y spots (so I can now strike one out of ten UNESCO world heritage sites to see in my list now), then on to Venetian hotel a.k.a. Plastic Fantastic, where even the sky is manufactured.

Tomorrow we're going to the Fisherman's Wharf and the Macau Tower.

Then on Wednesday, it's off to Hong Kong for the flight back to the Philippines.

Kitakits!

Another thing to rejoice over is the arrival of my Moo cards.

Love them to bits!

And no, am not giving any away:p

Words to live by from the late Randy Pausch:

1. When people give you feedback, cherish it and use it.
2. Show gratitude.
3. Don't complain, just work harder (Note to self!)
4. Be good at something, it makes you valuable.
5. Work hard.
6. Find the best in everybody, no matter how long you have to wait for them to show it.
7. Be prepared: "luck" is where preparation meets opportunity.

Future Jill: Just wait.
Present Jill: But why?!
Future Jill: You'll see.
Present Jill: But it's so difficult!
Future Jill: Better things are in store for you in the next few months.
Present Jill: Really?
Future Jill: Trulalu.

Gutom na ako!!

We're skipping canteen food today and ordering from Jollibee. I ordered the chicken and spaghetti meal and adding a peach mango pie.

Yummm...

In other news, Julia learned a new word from Maddie: Mine.

Riot ever when the two girls are together.

Maddie gets gigil over Julia and tries to hug the baby. Julia, in turn, stays still for a few seconds then once Maddie lets go, Julia hits her cousin.

This goes on for several times.

Then they'll move on to something or someone (i.e. Tatay) and that's when the "Mine!" section of the program starts.

Julia will get Maddie's toy and Maddie will grab it while saying something like: "Mine! That's not for babies!"

Or Tatay will carry Maddie and then Julia will toddle to tatay, hang on to his legs and demand to be carried too.

It's so entertaining.

Painful on the ears yes, but still very entertaining:p

I'm so tempted to make like a choo-choo* and tell on this site.

It's in the same category as Kikay Exchange in Topblogs.com.ph (Fashion and Beauty) and KE has been beating it to the top rank these past few weeks, but recently, it has totally clobbered KE unique hits wise.

I browsed through it and whaddayouknow, it's about NBA and UFC pala!! And the entire NBA schedule is currently posted, hence the fantastic hits.

It's totally out of place in the fashion and beauty category. The fashion angle comes into play in that the blog owner sells UFC shirts and features UFC gear, but that's about it.

But then it might appear as if I'm just sourgraping because said site is Number 1 now and KE is just number 2 (sniff!). Dapat from Day One pa lang, I said something na, not just when we became number 2:p

Oh well, not that I care how KE is ranked.

Really.

Pinky-swear.

Hmph.

*"I-chuchumbung kita!" ---> don't know how "isusumbung" developed into that but we said this a lot in high school:p

Week two of being the solo assoc has ended and I'm thankfully still alive.

My current situation is workable as long as I:

1) make a list
2) breathe deeply
3) try not to panic
4) delegate
5) say no to idiotic requests (hello! pagawin ba naman ako ng sec. cert. on my 5 minute "lunch break" right before I head out to UP for a hearing?!)
6) stop thinking that I should be paid more, because it only makes me bitter and resentful (but yeah, I should be paid more:P)

But really, I do recognize and appreciate the training I'm getting from my current firm, but I just feel like I need a new environment! Or maybe an uninterrupted 2-3 week vacation.

Speaking of vacations, it still hasn't quite set in that I'll be going to Macau with my blockies at the end of this month. That will be my 2nd trip out of the country evah! Hooray for being well-travelled and cosmopolitan! Maybe I'll be feeling the mini-break vibe right after I file my vacation leave.

It's 6:33 AM on a Saturday and I've been awake for more than an hour now. That's because I practically crashed into bed at around 10pm, or shortly after arriving from UP last night. Now I'm getting sleepy again so will take another trip to zzz-land.

I love lazy Saturdays :)

Ok, so the secret's out.

I haven't been regularly updating my blog because I've been enjoying my Flickr life more these past few weeks.

I joined the 365 days pool where you're supposed to upload a self-portrait for one whole year.

I'm almost at Day 50 but will be missing a few days because Gary forgot to give back my camera :( (sniff!)

Anyway, I received a notice from the Flickr people that I have reached the limit of my free account and the next step is to bump it up to a pro account (about Php1,000 for 1 year plus an extra 3 months).

It's almost textbook how Flickr got me hooked on its free account and so now I'm willing to whip out my credit card for a year's account:p Talk about a sucker.

But an excited sucker nonetheless :)

Work has been crazy these past few days so I created another Jill to help with the workload.

But the nasty line was still there, so I looked up other ways of cloning aside from my very neanderthal way of putting two pictures side by side, and found a tutorial for cloning with the use of the magic brush tool.

No more ugly line down the middle :)

Now other Jill, get to work!
