I just received a message from Aissa that Eugene Marmol passed away this morning!

He developed pneumonia from a recent heart surgery, and died at 4:30am from complications brought about by pneumonia :(

We were classmates in the honor's class from grade 7 to 4th year high school but we were never really close. However, he used to hang out with my brother.

I remember him as a very funny guy who never failed to elicit laughter with his antics. In fact, back in the days when our class valedictorian still had a rod up his ass, Santi said that Eugene was the only one who could make Paul laugh.

Eugene kinda disappeared after high school and never once attended a high school get together. Aside from the "So how's Rissa?" questions, which would usually be followed by a smirk, there would also be a genuine "Whatever happened to Eugene?!" query, because everyone missed the guy.

My deepest condolence to his family, particularly his mother who was our teacher back in grade school.

I know this is the second day in a row that I've asked for prayers, but please indulge me, and do include Eugene Marmol in your prayers tonight.

Thank you.
I'm sorely tempted to send my resume to this NGO.

But I gave myself up to December in my current firm :(

Hmmm....

Apply lang naman diba?

P.S.

Maddie's operation went well. She's recovering in the ICU now.

Thanks to everyone who sent a prayer her way.

This little girl will be undergoing heart surgery tomorrow.

Please include her in your prayers.

Thank you.

Pop quiz hotshots!

Guess who the beauty queen is in this picture.

Clue: It's not the girl on the left.

You're right! It's the guy in red! :P

Anyway, saw Tere and the Fit & Fab crew in Alabang Country Club last Sunday. Awkward ba?:p

But past is past, because we already aired our grievances to their boss and she was nice enough to apologize in behalf of the show, for all the inconvenience we experienced.

So apology accepted and peace once again reigns within Sabitski Point.

Here's a quick recap of last Saturday's bikram yoga session with Pye Trinidad:

- The 1.5 hour class was done in a 40 degree celsius room with 40% humidity. This was to replicate the weather in Calcutta, India (where bikram yoga originated). Note to self: Do not visit Calcutta, India.

- Obviously, the room was VERY hot! As in even my legs were sweating 15 minutes into the class. It is highly recommended that the participants wear skimpy clothing (some even wear bathing suits!) because the regular jogging pants and baggy shirt workout ensemble will just suffocate you.

- The poses were very challenging and involved a lot of concentration (So for those who are prone to feelings of self-consciousness, don't be. No one will be paying any attention to you because everyone's too busy trying to nail those poses).

- The poses involved a lot of bending, twisting and all sorts of bodily contortions. Unless you're a trained gymnast, you surely won't get those poses the first time you attend the class. But just stick with it and soon enough you'll be able to follow the entire routine without losing your balance.

So will I try it again? Probably not because hatha yoga is also offered in my gym and I don't want to spend extra money for bikram yoga:p

But I am going to start doing yoga though because, as already mentioned, my gym offers it and I already have a yoga mat.

Oo na. Kuripot ako.

As some kind of freebie for his interview tomorrow, G was able to score a free Bikram Yoga session for himself, which he then passed on to me.

Sure, why not. Game on!

I was told to:

1) Bring a mat and a large towel
2) Wear light and comfy clothing (tight shorts are preferred over pants)
3) Bring water in a plastic bottle
4) Come well hydrated
5) Not to eat 2-3 hours before class
6) Come in 20 minutes early to register

Uh-oh. This looks like serious stuff. And isn't bikram yoga the one done inside a heated room?! Patay tayo diyan.

Anyway, my main problem (For now, I try not to think of how I'll be made to contort my body tomorrow) was that I didn't have a yoga mat. So I dropped by Southmall on the way home and went directly to the bathroom section. I wanted to buy those rubber mats that you put on the bathroom floor, which can be bought by the yard (Cheap-o forever!!). Unfortunately, they didn't have those big spools of rubber mats, only the pre-cut ones.

Then I went to a sporting goods store and saw a yoga mat for 480p. It looked like those rubber mats in the department store, only wider and thicker. Anyway, I bought said yoga mat since the pre-cut rubber mats just wouldn't do (unless I buy 5 pieces and sew them all together).

I'm honestly quite apprehensive about doing yoga because the last time I did pilates (which I think is comparable to yoga?), I almost died from the sheer agony (keep my legs raised for 5 minutes?! are you nuts?!), and this is done in a heated room pa! I love the steam bath at Gold's but I usually just sit down for 10 minutes doing nothing. No crazy poses inside the steam bath please, whatever will the topless koreans think?

So if I don't end up blogging after this post, I'll probably be in some corner somewhere, all shriveled up into an unrecognizable ball.

Dear AXN executives,

Please hurry up with The Amazing Race Asia 3.

And if it's possible, please bring Marc and Rovilson back.

Right now I am the picture of lola-ness with my gray shawl and cup of steaming hot tea.

Wala lang. I just wanted to share.

I never learn.

I browsed through the Rustan's sale this morning and saw this pair of bronze heels from Aerosoles.

That's not the exact pair in the photo but it had the same color, heel thickness and heel height.

I tried it on and it was sturdy and comfortable in spite of the height and the price was slashed down by almost 50%! Sankapa right?!

So I snapped it up and immediately wore it while buying Killer's kibbles at the supermarket. And ten minutes later, I was in major pain.

It rubbed against my toes and the heels were torture!

With my tail between my legs, I went back to Rustan's and returned the lovely pair a mere 15 minutes after buying it :(

Apparently, because it was on sale, it could no longer be returned, instead, I could exchange it for other items.

So I picked up a basketful of baby stuff (for Joey's upcoming birthday and Glen's new baby) and a tube of Fasio mascara for me.

Yey! From an iffy shoe choice, I came out with two less items on my to-do-list.

Thanks to Rustan's for being so accommodating with my fashion faux pas :)

So the moral of this story is to stop being so ambisyosa in thinking that I can get away with wearing heels.

We went to the Iora Outlet Store in Libis the other day.

What a total waste of time!

It wasn't an outlet store at all, instead, it's a regular store with two sale racks.

In fairness, the items on sale were at 50%-70% off but they were still expensive, with blouses and pants from 600p to 800p.

So if anyone out there is similarly curious, don't bother to go.

Hmmm....maybe I'll post this on Kikay Ex as well:p
The weather's bad.

All the employees in RCBC Cabuyao Laguna were brutally massacred.

There are thousands dead in China and Myanmar.

I think I'll stay in today.

I have to admit that I felt bad not seeing my mug on tv.

Hello! I took half the day off to accommodate the crew no and only to see my name in the closing credits.

Oh well, that's showbiz for you.

Sniff.

Okay, so my extremely sour graping comeback would be: Fit and Fab sucks!

There, I feel very mature now:p

Sunday, May 11, 2008

Stressed with the thought of going, but on the other hand, also stressed with the thought of staying.

Why oh why do I create problems where none actually exist?:p

Labo.

Btw, happy mother's day mom! Hope you're having a blast with your sisters!

The bad news is that as of 5pm of May 9, 2008, my salary increase has not been approved.

The good news is that there are still 5 days until the 15th, or 5 days for this error to be rectified.

The best news is that I am not obligated or contract bound to stay with the firm :)

Fair is fair.

My mom with her sisters in New York City a.k.a "The Bigatins Rock New York City!"

Next stop is Ohio where they will be reunited with another sister making their quintuplet complete. Yeah, five girls. Beat that.

*Thanks to Gemboy (the official photographer) for the pictures!

I need a vacation!!!

And not one of those puny two day gigs lang ha (like my last one). I want the whole (at least) two-week do nothing but bond with the couch sort of deal. The type where I can spend the whole day wearing my pajamas and the only thing to think about is whether or not to take a shower for the day.

I'm up for a raise soon (dapat lang!), but I'm half hoping that it won't happen so I can just hand in my resignation letter earlier than planned (like a year and a half earlier:p).

Ah yes, dreams.

Grabe ha! Some girl has been lifting posts lock, stock and barrel from Kikay Ex! And she even has the nerve to host the pix from Kikay, ergo, stealing our bandwidth as well.

I was all set to bitch slap her until I saw that she was only 13 years old and so in fact and in law, cannot be held accountable for her actions:p

I already left a comment in one of the copied posts:

hello. please refrain from copying our posts. we are usually not strict about cross-posting but please give credit to us and please host the pictures yourself.

thank you.

jill of kikay exchange

but the next day, she still lifted two more posts!

Guess it's time to go to her Friendster and Multiply.

I'm so itching to put something nasty on Kikay like: Hello vile plagiarizer! and then let the hate campaign begin.

But again, she's only a kid.

What to do, what to do.

Monday, May 05, 2008

I will not let this day get to me.

I will not let this day get to me.

(repeat 1000 times until it rings true)

Pictures from last Tuesday's oath-taking.

Dizizit!

With mama and tatay in my 150p ukay dress

With my cousin Rosemarie, who also took her oath that day, and her parents.

I then signed the attorney's roll today and I was number 55586. Fifty-five thousand lawyers?! No wonder we're in deep shit:p

Pero ayun, abugado na ako! woohoo!

I really should get a camera (hello credit card companies! choose me!).

This morning, Jason left his dog with us in the hope that something would bloom between her and Killer.

But our boy is a little shy and hides at the sight of her. However, she would have none of that and chases after my baby, and not only does she follow him everywhere, she even does the mounting from behind!

Bitch.

Now if I had a camera, I could just post a picture and you'd all see what I was talking about.

Sweetie, he's just not into you!

Updated on May 2, 2008 (8am)

OMG! The bitch is actually a boy!

How do we know this? She He has balls and a penis!!!!

No wonder Killer wasn't in the mood:p

Strangely enough, Jason didn't know that the dog was a boy. He said that it belongs to his sister and that she told him that it was a girl!

Anuvah.

Right now, we're keeping the two dogs apart because Killer is soooo exhausted. The other dog just won't let up and continues to mount Killer even when he's trying to sleep. Poor baby :(
