I don't get the recent uproar over Janina San Miguel winning in Bb. Pilipinas. So she buckled during the Q&A portion, let's see you try to give motherhood statements in a bikini inside a humongous venue filled with people just waiting for anything to laugh at.
And come on, it's a beauty pageant, I'm surprised people even actually watch that.
Of course this time last year I was hooked on Bb. Pilipinas because Tere was a candidate (and eventually won pa nga) but otherwise, beauty pageants are, in my opinion, irrelevant.
So yeah, give the kid a break.

exactly! boy, you wouldn't believe the extensiveness with which this thing has been discussed in our egroup. too much time on our hands, I guess.
that's right, why do we even bother watching? here are our priorities: when precious lara quigaman came home with the "prestigious" ms. international crown, san juan declared a "precious lara quigaman day." when prof. escultura was nominated for the nobel prize for physics for his grand unified theory... well... (insert cricket sound here)
going back to the bb. pilipinas grammatical horror this year: why should that even be such a huge issue? why not send an interpreter with her for the interview portions? the south american beauty queens get a lot of help from their interpreters and look at them win titles left and right.
