The Exchanges are down! This usually happens near the end of the month because we sometimes exceed our bandwidth, not so much because thousands flock to our sites but because G placed all sort of accounts together with the Exchanges. Grrr...
Anyway, Kikay Ex is down so there goes tomorrow's post. Oh well, I guess one day without a new post won't kill me. It might make my OC alarms go haywire though (must.have.new.post.every.single.day.except.for.sunday)
The past few days have been insanely busy. I used to scoff at people who'd say things like: "I didn't reply because I was too busy." Come on! No one's that busy to send an SMS. But apparently it can happen. Well maybe not exactly too busy to send an SMS, but busy enough to forget about replying to an SMS because you have other more pressing things to deal with.
We had the Portia speed dating event at Burnt Milk cafe last Saturday. Can I just say that the organizing team (headed by Cams) did a fantastic job! The location was perfect for the occasion, the speed dating itself went smoothly (with a few expected kinks here and there because it was our first time to do such a thing) and everyone had fun, although I won't be surprised if not a few people woke up with sore throats the following day :p
The following day, G and I went to a baptism reception in Wack-Wack. The proud parents are also the owners of a Cake shop (Cake Concepts)so you can just imagine the desserts they had! I'll post the pictures as soon as I find the cord for my camphone.
Then yesterday, I had to go to the Makati City Hall for a hearing before the clerk of court. The opposing counsel was late so we started an hour and 15 minutes behind schedule AND my clients (who were two hours late) have been umasked as liars. So I'll be making a memo to Sir Te as soon as possible asking for his advice because I really want to withdraw as counsel. (Liar liar pants on fire!)
Afterwards, I went to school after lunch to finalize a pleading and to finally finish the SLR paper with Camille. I'm happy to say that both the pleading and the SLR were submitted (or filed) today :)
I had OLA duty today and mercifully there weren't a lot of applicants so I managed to read a few more cases for my Labor Arb class. I finished 15 cases just to be sure because the Prof has this tendency to skip cases in the outline, but I didn't read one case because we already took that up a few weeks ago (supra). Guess what case I got called to recite on? Of course, it had to be the one case I didn't re-read. And that's known as the law school irony. Read 99 cases out of a 100 and you'll definitely get called for the 1 case you failed to study. C'est la vie!
Thankfully, the only things in store tomorrow are some banking related chores (meaning playing gopher for my parents) and maybe on to the vet for Killer's shots. And perhaps an "Arrested Development" marathon. Loving it already.
