Last week was uncharacteristically hectic. "Uncharacteristically" because I usually don't bother, I mean, participate in extra curricular activities but last week, I was school spirit personified.

There was the vice relay where I played marshall and manned the sisig booth (I actually had to cut succession for this. so sad, not!) and the Freshman Night where we danced in between sets.

Playing marshall took virtually no effort but the dance part was horrible. I can't imagine how a less than 3 minute song can take hours and hours to choreograph and perfect. It just doesn't seem commensurate, that's all. Anyway, it's done, we more or less nailed it and with the entrance of new Portians, that means we're off the hook na. Hooray for new blood! To read more about the Freshman Night, please go here.

After this week, I still don't understand why some people go loco over extra-curricular activities, because the way I see it, anything remotely related to school is still school stuff and school stuff reminds me of school, which I try to avoid as far as humanly possible. I guess I'll never know then. Oh well, to each his or her own. Whatever turns you on. Whatever floats your boat and whatever cliches you can still think of.

So anyway, save for the memory of blinding lights and making a conscious effort to smile, the whole less than three minute routine is a blur. But together with the recurring refrain of "This shit is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!", I'll also have my sore thighs and black and blue knees to remind me of the whole ordeal, I mean, experience.

But griping aside, it really wasn't all that bad :)
