It's the first time in months or probably only the second time since we moved here, that we're sleeping without AC.
Here's hoping that this continues because I would love for our electricity bill to go down.

Cookies pa rin
Note to self: When baking cookies from frozen cookie dough, it's enough to add just a minute to the usual baking time. Burnt cookies are so sad :(

And on the Corona impeachment, can't say I was surprised with the results, it is after all, a political exercise and these are politicians with dreams of reelection or who have plans of having their spouses replace them. Syempre, they have to accede to the will of the people, kind of like mob rule, but with surveys and motherhood statements.
Lastly, what's up with MDS? Grabe, there was so much back patting and self-love in that "explanation" that she even forgot to say what her vote was. And yes, I did partly wish that God would strike her dead right then and there. So much arrogance!

Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies
I had a lot of brown sugar left after making raisin bread pudding so I decided to make chocolate chip cookies. I googled "brown sugar chocolate chip cookies" and the very first hit was a recipe from Butter Cooking called Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies! Clearly, this was kismet:p
Anyway, the recipe was fairly simple and the instructions were clear as day, although I did notice that the ingredients called for vanilla extract, but the instructions didn't say when it would be mixed in. So I just mixed in the vanilla extract with the egg.
Baking time was a mere 10 minutes so before I knew it, I had four PERFECT chocolate chip cookies to nosh on! I swear, and I'm not exaggerating, these were Mrs. Fields level in yumminess. Who knew that our tiny electric oven could churn out something this drool-worthy?
I still have a huge ball of cookie dough left and I'll be bringing a huge chunk of that over to my parents' house (a.k.a. as "in the BF") and baking it there for the whole fambam to consume. I can only bake 4 cookies at a time in our tiny oven and I don't want to keep on baking small batches because our electricity bill will shoot up and also because there's a diabetic in our house who refuses to give up his sweets.
I give these cookies: 5/5 for yumminess and 5/5 for presentation.
I'm feeling a little daring after this successful attempt and I'm going to go all out and try to make lasagna next time. I think the trick when learning how to cook/bake is to start making things you like to eat, and so lasagna it is!
