I'm midway to getting the mayor's permit for our little business and so far everything has been going smoothly.

Step One was to get a business name registered with the DTI and I got it in 10 working days. Actually, it was supposed to be ready by 5 working days but I wanted to let 10 working days pass just to be doubly sure. I didn't receive a call as promised, but when I called 2 weeks later, I was told to just pick the certification up in the office (Note: The lady on the phone didn't even check the records, she just asked when I filed my application). Thankfully, I didn't go through that one month waiting period that others went through.

Step Two was to get a barangay certification and it went smoothly except for the time when I submitted all my requirements and I was given a Memorandum of Agreement to sign and have notarized. Hello! Mejo dapat from the start pa lang binigay na no! Another thing was that the girl processing the requirements was quite rude, the type na sarap sabihan: "Miss, hindi ka masaya sa trabaho mo no? Mejo bastos ka eh." Anyway, if my makeup was that thick and badly drawn on, I'd probably be irritable too. But rude public servants aside, everyone else in Barangay BF were so polite and hospitable, and I got my business plate right after paying the Php1,500 fee.

Step Three now entails getting documents ready for the Mayor's Permit. So now I have to find a geodetic engineer to sign my location map (and make a location map pala! whatever that is...), G says I should just ask around in the munisipyo because they usually have a geodetic engineer or kung sino man just hanging around willing to sign documents for a little something.

Here's hoping that the rest of the steps will be as easy as and as pain-free!

Had a haircut yesterday, of course, I covered it for Kikay Exchange:p These days, it seems as if everything I do or spend on must be post worthy (para sulit!) Read about it here.

We then visited Julia at home where the two girls played. The princess was generally nice to her cousin naman, after several reminders of: "Remember, this isn't your house. You have to ask permission from Julia".

While Julia was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement. At least someone slept early last night:p

Story time with the two bugoys. Maddie got mad because Julia kept on shouting parts of the story.

Julia: Map!! Forest!!
Maddie: I can't hear! She's too loud!

Hehehehe Can't believe how fast they're growing :(

Health spa updates!

First, I had a live blood thingy where my finger was pricked and the blood was transferred to a slide and looked at under this microscope with the images projected on a tv. The doctor said that my blood was generally healthy ("kasi bata pa") but that I already had uric acid crystals, fat deposits, fungi and a little bacteria present in my blood. But thankfully, water is more than enough to flush all that out.

She then checked out my eyes and declared that my left ovary is weak and prescribed 8 sessions of colonics, among other high tech treatments which involved IVs and infrared rays, to straighten out my collapsed colon and kill the bacteria.

Looking back now, I can't believe I was so excited to try out colonics since it was soooo uncomfortable and quite embarassing really. Sticking that tube up my pwet wasn't really painful but mighty uncomfortable. The tube was heavily lubed before they stuck it in and I'm grateful they didn't show it to me first because I might have seriously backed out. So for all the bottoms out there, props to you because I can never do it:p

Then distilled water was flushed inside me, up to my colon lang daw, and then the two attendants waited for the poop to come rushing out. Which they did in due time. I'm not exaggerating when I say they were happy to see all that trash come out of my body ("Ayan mam! Lumalabas na!").

The colon irrigation lasted for about 20 minutes and afterwards, I did feel lighter and it was an eye opener to see just how much gunk I had in my colon. Note to self, eat more fruits and fiber rich food.

Will I do it again? Probably yes if I feel particularly nasty but definitely not in the near future. Katakot that tube thing up my pwet.

Oh yeah, one last thing, the place we went to (Richter Alternative Medicine) was so not a spa. It had no ambiance and it was in a rundown building along G.Puyat Ave but the attendants were nice, all the equipments worked and it was way cheaper than The Farm in San Benito so pwede na rin.

Have yet to start on my daily quota, so now is obviously the best time to make a quick update:p

1) I've been on a panacotta frenzy for the past few days so G and I shopped for the ingredients and made some last weekend.

Here's how it turned out.

NOT!

That's actually from Cibo and our panacotta did not have a mango glaze, was served in big glasses and was too sweet. But I think it was a good try. Now I know what to do the next time (i.e. less sugar and vanilla extract).

2) I am now actively looking for a job. The LPO people from Ortigas still haven't called after my interview so I don't think I'll be hearing from them anytime soon. I'm still holding out with giving my resume to the judiciary, although I am contemplating handing in a resume to the OSG.

I really want to work na and buy a Canon G10:p

3) The quotation for the Canon point and shoot I dropped a few weeks ago came to about 9k! Eeeep. I'm definitely trying out the repair shops in Quiapo because a brand new model costs a little under 20k, no way am I paying half just to have it repaired.

4) Will go with my mom to a health clinic tomorrow. She's checking herself in for a week of detox and all that, in time for her birthday. Para daw there'll be a brand new her on her birthday. TMI but I think I'll go for the colonics:p

Ok, back to work!

Tonight I am thankful for the gift of good health and for little rocks that were finally flushed away.

For the rest of those little rocks, I pray that a steady dose of H20 and sodium bicarbonate tablets will be enough to fizzle them away to nothingness. But if not, then it's off to plan B which is to face it together.

Tonight I am also thankful that I can finally take a shower after two days of being cooped up inside a hospital room.

It's always the little things that matters most. Trite but true.

I had an interview yesterday with an LPO in Ortigas, I think it went well, but on the other hand, I always think my interviews go well even if I eventually don't get a call back:p

I don't want to jinx it but I'm already looking at condominiums around the Ortigas CBD (online lang naman, no actual visits:p)

Yesterday was also Raymund's (aka Tito Rainbow) birthday, so Krissy bought chickenjoy and peach mango pie. Here we are waking up the birthday boy.

Happy birthday Tito Rainbow!!!
